The entire frame surface is highly polished with a mirror-like sheen, producing clear light reflections on the curves of the arms, legs and carved details. Grooves and deeper carved recesses appear slightly darker, but the overall frame colour is pure black without coloured patina. This high-gloss finish, combined with the gold and burgundy jacquard upholstery, gives the piece a formal, luxurious and classic appearance.

In the photos the seat surface is shown in two options: one uses a plain satin or matte velvet with a smooth, even hand, while the other pairs the seat with the same patterned jacquard as the backrest. The classic motifs are executed in a combination of antique gold, bronze, walnut-brown, wine-red, burgundy, olive green and grey-silver, creating a warm, aristocratic and highly detailed appearance. The plain seat fabric is a very dark smoky or charcoal black that reads slightly smoky grey where lit. The piping or welt around the seat is black, providing a seamless connection between fabric and frame.
